What are the best TV shows of all time? That’s a question many people pose when they want to get into the TV-watching world. Of course, the answer may vary depending on your personal preferences. What are the top ten best TV Cancel Renew shows of all time, though?
The first answer I give is something I think we can all agree upon. That answer is Friends. Everyone remembers when David Copperfield brought the show to television and everyone became hooked right away. For me, that was the best of the best, and even now when I’m watching one of the DVD’s I’m thinking to myself that if I had the choice again, I’d take the original cast over anything that’s been done since the show began.
Second, on my list would have to be Seinfeld. Of course, I’m a huge fan of the show, but it’s easily compared to Friends in the fact that it’s not the kind of show that goes for a long time between seasons. Instead, the seasons go by very quickly and you’re always in a rush to find out what happens next in the story. Of course, some big events happen in each season, and you can predict with some certainty what will happen in later seasons, but at the same time, you’ll be completely surprised every time. Which is part of the fun. But my favorite thing about Seinfeld is the way that it evolves.
There’s a new plot every season that takes place within the framework of the show and it’s just great to see that development. The characters grow, change, find love, and fall in and out of love all within the span of a season. And each season offers something a little different. You have to wait until the fourth season to find out what happens to Jerry and George in the fifth, but it’s worth the wait.
I think the best show of the last decade or so has to be Lost. I was a big fan when it first started, but I’ve since become a bit of a sore wreck. I’m not the only one, as the show seems to attract a particular type of person. People who are incredibly sensitive and emotional are drawn to it like bees to honey. It’s just not realistic for a television show to make someone feel so sad, so Lost offers people what they want: entertainment.
Another one of my favorites is Friends. This has always been one of the best shows in history and has a lot to do with the fact that there are a ton of great characters. The central character Ross is a social outcast, but he manages to get his friends to stand up to him. Joey is a friend who knows Ross well, and Chandler is the central nervous guy. It’s just an amazing show.
There’s also been a resurgence of popular shows like ER, House, and Scrubs. All of these have had their highs and lows over the past few years, but they’re still one of the best TV shows you could watch. ER is about a doctor who becomes obsessed with saving the lives of his patients, while House is centered around a bunch of friends who party every night. Scrubs is my favorite because it’s a medical soap, where almost anything can happen, which is very true in this show.
If I had to single out one show as the best, it would be The X-Files. I’ve always loved the X-files, and I’m very glad that this revival has finally come out. I’m not a huge fan of the series by the way, but I have watched a few episodes. I would imagine the writers cut some of the more dark material to make it easier to watch. I’m anxious to see how this one works out. I’m certainly looking forward to the new season!
